It offers insight into local religious practices and provides a serene atmosphere conducive to finding inner peace.
TRIP DETAILS
Get picked up from your hotel at 8:00 AM for a scenic 2-hour drive to My Duc, a tranquil suburban district of Hanoi.
Nestled amidst the rugged terrain and jungle of Huong Son Mountain is a complex of pagodas and Buddhist shrines, revered as the holiest place for Vietnamese Buddhist pilgrims. The centerpiece of this spiritual enclave is Dong Huong Tich, also known as 'The Cave of Fragrant Traces', housing the most revered pagoda.
Upon arriving at Ben Duc quay, embark on a serene rowing boat journey along a tranquil stream, bordered by picturesque mountains and verdant rice fields, leading to the entrance of the complex. The tranquil scenery along the river is truly magnificent and awe-inspiring.
Upon disembarking, take a hike along trails and stairs that ascend to the summit of the mountain, where you will explore Huong Tich Cave - renowned as the Cave of Buddha's Fragrance. This pagoda resides within a vast grotto adorned with ornate shrines and a plethora of stalactites and stalagmites. After immersing yourself in the spiritual ambiance of the pagoda, you have the option to descend on foot or enjoy a cable car ride downhill.
After lunch, take a leisurely visit to Thien Tru Pagoda (Heaven's Kitchen), where you can deepen your understanding of Vietnamese religion, local beliefs, cultural practices, and traditional architecture.
Return to the pier for a peaceful boat ride back to the parking area, where your awaiting car and driver will transport you back to Hanoi.
The trip concludes around 4:30 PM with drop-off at your hotel.
Thank you and see you again!
