Day 01: Hanoi - Binh Lieu trek
Depart Hanoi at 8:00 AM for a scenic drive along the highway to Binh Lieu, a picturesque mountain district on the China-Vietnam border, 2 hours from Halong Bay and nearly 4 hours drive from Hanoi.
Binh Lieu is celebrated for its majestic mountain landscapes, lush forests, and vibrant terraced fields. The district is home to several ethnic minority groups, including the Tay, San Chay, Hoa, and particularly the high-hat Dao people (Dao Thanh Phan), who have preserved their unique customs and traditions.
Upon arrival in Binh Lieu, settle into a comfortable rammed earth house set amidst lush natural surroundings and breathtaking mountain scenery.
In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely trek along serene trails that wind through fragrant anise and cinnamon forests. Explore the villages of the Dzao people, where charming homes are scattered across the hillsides amidst terraced fields. Visit local homes and interact with the residents to learn about their customs and traditions.
Return to your accommodation to relax, and in the evening, enjoy a home-cooked meal featuring traditional dishes, accompanied by homemade rice whiskey.

Day 02: Binh Lieu nature explore
After breakfast, prepare for an adventurous day in Binh Lieu. Start with an exhilarating trek along buffalo trails, winding through anise, cinnamon, and bamboo forests on untouched paths to reach a pristine waterfall. Though the trek can be a bit challenging, it provides a unique opportunity to explore the mystical beauty of the jungle and mountains.
After a picnic lunch by the waterfalls, take a short transfer to the Tien Yen River where you will take an exciting kayaking experience on one of Vietnam's most picturesque rivers.
Navigate through gentle rapids that add a thrill to your journey, and perhaps take a refreshing swim in the emerald waters along the way.
Later, return to your accommodation to relax and enjoy a delightful dinner by the fire.

Day 03: Binh Lieu - Hanoi
Waking up to the serene sounds of nature in Binh Lieu and enjoy the wonderful view of cloud-covered mystic mountains.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive along the winding mountain road toward Huc Dong, where you will spend time exploring the stunning Khe Van waterfalls, a famous natural beauty of Binh Lieu.
The waterfall has a height of about 100 meters and is divided into three different tiers, each forming a pristine blue lake at its base with strong current of emerald water cascading over the rock creating a spectacular sight.
Take your time to explore the waterfall and the surrounding landscape. If you like, make a climb to the upper level to discover further and to have the view of the whole waterfalls from above.
Continue your drive to Halong city for your cruise on the spectacular Halong Bay or get back to Hanoi.
